School Fundraisers & Volunteering

Thank you for your prayers and financial support for Holy Spirit Elementary: a place where children get to grow both spiritually and academically. In the fall of 2022, Holy Spirit Elementary was recognized as National Blue Ribbon School by the South Dakota Department of Education. To be eligible for this award, schools must score in the top 15% in the nation in both reading and math scores on nationally normed tests. But, test scores are only the beginning. The application process is rigorous and requires schools to demonstrate excellence in all areas including climate and culture, curriculum and instruction, academic support, leadership, school-family relationships, and more.

Holy Spirit Elementary hosts one major school fundraiser each year: This year Holy Spirit Elementary will be conducting a Walk-A-Thon. The Walk-A-Thon is a time for students to come together in fun, exercise, community and spirit to raise funds for our school.

Our school goal is $35,000. Monies raised from the Walk-A-Thon will be used to purchase new lunch tables for our cafeteria, technology replacement, and classroom supplies. In addition these monies are used to help fund teacher development workshops, community building events like Grandparent Day, May Crowning, Catholic Schools Week activities, Teacher Appreciation and tuition assistance.

Thank you for your support of Holy Spirit Elementary!

2024 Walk-A-Thon: September 20-October 10, 2024
